Quilted Iron and Honeycomb, True Grid is a sculptural commentary about wedding photo albums which always show perfect harmony and idealized expectations of marital perfection. The red jewel from a vintage waffle iron is bezel set like precious jewelry.

The exterior shell is constructed using copper sheet and wire. It is not a found object.

The exterior is nickel-plated. The interior waffle iron grid is from a vintage waffle iron polished to perfection as an aluminum grid. The back is engraved and stamped. The interior is quilted satin fabric with embroidery, and the photo corners are brass (made to look like the paper photo corners used to hold photos in an album). Steel springs refer to bed springs.
