Increasing Quantity, Diminishing Value, made in 1999, increases in width, and the value (color intensity) diminishes — value refers to the relative lightness or darkness of a certain area. The diminishing value is a commentary on how the increasing quantities of “stuff” in our material culture diminishes the value of any one item.
